AMC is short form of Adaptive Modulation and Coding. This file format is used to store multimedia data for streaming and sharing over mobile devices.
The AMC file format is a variant of 3GP video file format. The video encoded in this file format is based on MPEG-4 format having data rate of 32KB per second. The audio data is formatted on QCELP format with mono channel. Data rate for audio is about 14000 Kb per second. The output audio sample rate is fixed to 8KHz frequency having single sample for one frame. The text formatting and encoding for this file format is done using STML standard.
