What is a .BROWSER file?
The most common data format on the web.
A .browser file is an XML configuration file that tells an ASP.NET 2.0-4.x web server what capabilities a given browser has (JavaScript, CSS, cookies, and so on). It is a developer-side file, not something end users open. Any text editor opens it. The format is obsolete in ASP.NET Core and .NET 5 and later.
