What is a .CBR file?
The open standard for reflowable e-books.
A CBR file is a digital comic or manga - JPG/PNG page images packed in a RAR archive and renamed .cbr so a comic reader opens it as a paged book. To read it, use YACReader or CDisplayEx on Windows, YACReader or Simple Comic on Mac, Okular or MComix on Linux, or Panels/Chunky on an iPad. The most common conversion requests are CBR to PDF and CBR to CBZ.

Is my .CBR file uploaded anywhere?
No. Your .CBR file is unpacked and displayed for you. Your reading position is remembered for next time.
Can I read Kindle books bought from Amazon?
Only if they're DRM-free. Most purchased Kindle books are copy-protected, and we don't remove DRM. The reader tells you when a file is protected.
Why does my .CBR file look different from the publisher's layout?
For comfortable reading we apply our own typography and drop the file's scripts and most of its styling. Text, headings, images, tables and links are kept.
Can I read comics and manga?
Yes. CBZ and CBT open directly, CBR and CB7 through our archive engine. Switch between single and double pages, fit to width or height, and turn on right-to-left reading for manga.
What about PDF books?
Use our PDF Viewer. It has thumbnails, zoom and full-text search.
