What is a .PTS file?
The most common data format on the web.
A .pts file is most commonly a Leica Cyclone point cloud, plain ASCII text storing millions of 3D scan points (X Y Z coordinates, optional intensity and RGB color) from a LiDAR or terrestrial laser scanner. Open it free with CloudCompare. Avid Pro Tools also uses .pts for audio session templates, an unrelated format that shares the same extension.
