What is a .XLIFF file?
The most common data format on the web.
An XLIFF file is an XML Localisation Interchange File Format file, an open OASIS standard for exchanging translatable text and its translations between tools. Open it in a CAT tool such as OmegaT (free), SDL Trados Studio, or memoQ, or in any text or XML editor, since it is plain readable XML. The file contains no executable code and is safe.
