What is a .VBOX file?
The most common data format on the web.
A VBOX file is the configuration file for an Oracle VM VirtualBox virtual machine, a small XML document recording the VM's name, CPU, RAM, attached disks, and network settings. Double-click it to register and start the VM in VirtualBox. It does not contain the virtual hard disk; the disk lives in separate .vdi or .vmdk files referenced inside the .vbox.
